This is a very easy to grow plant that rewards with beautiful, dark purple flowers at the end of May to early June. Even when not in bloom, the plant looks elegant, resembling an ornamental grass from a distance. It’s very tall for an Iris, easily reaching 3 feet in height.
Last year, I planted another Siberian Iris, ‘Gull’s Wing,’ from White Flower Farm. Unfortunately, it looks like some animal dug it out of the ground this winter.
