Globe Thistle

Posted on April 10, 2019April 18, 2019

Echinops ritro ‘Platinum Blue’. From Bluestone Perennials. I love this plant! I planted three more plants of the straight species, Echinops ritro, in the meadow garden last year, but they just progressively died back, so I replaced them with Agastache. I wonder if I over-watered them. I hope this plant comes back in my garden this year.

Last year my ‘Platinum Blue’ started blooming in the first week of August.

Update (April 18, 2019): Unfortunately, my plant didn’t make it through the winter. I replaced it with Agastache ‘Black Adder’ from Annie’s Annuals.
