This plant of Lavandula x intermedia 'Alba' got through the winter fine.
Another plant of Lavandula x intermedia 'Alba' with winter damage. This plant had similar winter damage last year.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Coconut Ice'. Looking very good after winter!
Lavandula x intermedia 'Edelweiss'. Made it through winter just fine.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote' with severe damage, but it might sprout new growth along the woody stems.
Another plant of Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote'. Almost all the foliage is shriveled. I might have to cut it back hard this spring.
Lavandula x intermedia 'Hidcote Giant' has some winter damage, particularly on the lower stems, but I expect it will recover fine.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote Superior'. This was just planted last year. Despite some winter damage, and looking a bit raggedy, it should recover over the next few weeks.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Lavance Purple'. It looks like more than half the stems are dead, but because it's a young plant -- just planted last year -- I'll wait and see where new growth occurs before cutting back or replacing.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Melissa'. For a young plant, this looks very impressive!
Lavandula angustifolia 'Miss Katherine'. Very impressive! Can hardly see any signs of winter stress.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead'. The blackened, shriveled stems in the interior are concerning, but it's a young plant, so it's worth waiting a few weeks to let it recover. If an older plant looked like this, I'd probably yank it out.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Pastor's Pride'. This doesn't look great right now, but new growth will probably help to fill it out again in a few weeks.
Lavandula x intermedia 'Phenomenal'. The foliage looks a little stressed, but overall the plant looks fine.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Purple Bouquet'. This plant looks mostly dead although there's a chance it might re-sprout from the base.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Royal Purple'. The foliage is a little sparse, but this plant looks fine in terms of winter damage.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Royal Velvet'. This plant looks fine after winter though it might have benefited from some shaping last year.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Vera'. You can tell this was planted late last year since the original root mass has been heaved out by freezing and thawing of the ground. The young growth wasn't able to harden off before winter, which probably accounts for all the dieback, some of which I already trimmed off. I might have to replace this plant.
